Itinerary

Day 1: TRAVEL / CAMPING  / HIKING

Your guide will be waiting at the airport and / or bus terminal and take you to our office located about 5 minutes away from the city of Puerto Maldonado. Here we will record and do some last minute shopping for things we could have forgotten such as batteries or poncho. Then we drive to the pier from where we take our motorboat to travel 4 hours, lunch on board. We travel for 3 rivers Madre de Dios, stones and Pariamanu, this river is one of the most beautiful rivers where you can see the forest on both sides of the boat, we can see during our trip, native families, logging activities and mining, then in the evening we arrive to our camp where we will camp for the night, then to accommodate our tents, take the boat to see alligators that become visible in the dark with the help of our flashlights, then spend the night in our comfortable camp.

Day 2 MACAW CLAY LICK  / LODGE / HIKING

Leave early before breakfast to see the first show, the arrival of parrots and parakeets, they usually arrive earlier than the macaws, after watching these little parrots and macaws watching reach back to camp for our breakfast after back to the lick to see the macaws start to arrive in pairs and they go posing in near the lick trees, then when there is already a fairly large group of about 100 to 200 macaws come down to eat the clay a colorful show Flight and screams this is a show you will never forget.

Pariamanu Macaw Clay Lick

The Pariamanu lick is a bank of about ten meters high Pariamanu a side arm of the river, where several species of parrots and macaws gather in a magical display. The most famous visitor is red with green macaw. These birds have to meet every morning to feed on clay before flying in search of fruits and seeds in the jungle. This show lasts one to three hours and follows a specific order. First come the small species like parakeets and parrots parrotlets later appear to possibly be followed by significantly larger macaws bring this exceptional explosion of color and sound to a dignified end. Back at our camp we will have lunch, after lunch, return to Puerto Maldonado, and from there travel the Madre de Dios River, a journey of about 15 minutes, then get to our next lodge "Amazon Tambopata Lodge" where we accommodate you in our comfortable rooms, then we will make a night walk to see species that are only visible at night , return to the lodge for dinner, spend the night in our comfortable lodge. Day 3  TAMBOPATA RESERVE/ LAKE SANDOVAL

Very early in the morning at 5:00 am we will visit the parrot clay lick the cachuela, a journey of about 50 minutes, where you can see variadad species of parrots gather at the wall of the Madre de Dios River to eat clay in a multicolored spectacle of flight and cries, an experience you will never forget. After breakfast, we will prepare to go to our next lodge in Lake Sandoval, travel in our motor for 10 minutes to the port of Lake Sandoval and from there do the entrance (Tambopata) National Book hike a about an hour and we arrive at our lodge where we settled in our comfortable rooms close to the lake Sandoval. The Lodge has private bathrooms and is located within the Tambopata National Reserve which makes it different from other lodges where we guarantee that you will see more wildlife and being in touch with nature. After settling visit the Sandoval lake taking a canoe paddle along the lake where you can see the giant otter (otter) black caiman, hoatzin, herons, kingfishers, etc. Return to the lodge for dinner, after dinner visit the lake again in the canoe with our flashlights or lamps to see the alligators they usually marry at night, where we will show and explain and then return to our comfortable lodge for overnight night.

Day 4 SANDOVAL LAKE / HIKING / LODGE

We get up early to go see the palm trees Lick this is a special place within the reserve where different species of parrots and macaws gather to eat dry palms are rich in minerals such as calcium, sodium, potassium, etc. . Which is very important for the digestion of the birds. Then back to the lodge for breakfast. After breakfast we will hike to appreciate the wonderful flora and on the way you can see some animals such as monkeys, deer, wild Canchos, tapirs, sloths, etc. Then return to the lodge for lunch, then we prepare to return to our lodge "Amazon Lodge Tambopata" walk 3 km. back to the river where our boat will be waiting to take, then we settled into our comfortable lodge.

Day 5 NATIVE FAMILY / FISHING / LODGE

After breakfast, we'll take our motorboat to travel 25 minutes by the river Mother of God, we will visit a local family Eseja, where we can learn about their culture, lifestyle and we can talk to them, return to the lodge for lunch, after a descanzo we prepare ourselves to go fishing in a caminat half hour to reach a small river where you can fish piranhas and other Amazonian fish, return to the lodge for dinner, after dinner.

Day 6 LODGE / AIRPORT

After breakfast, coordinating flight time and / or bus we will transfer in motorized canoe to Puerto Maldonado and from there to the airport and / or bus.

Note: If you have Bus or Flight later, you can stay at our lodge, but you should know that check out is at 10:00 am. and lunch is priced at S /. 25.00, if you want any activity more, the price is S /. 80 soles per person.
